Platypus Safari

Voted by Australian Geographic as one of the top five places to see Australia’s beloved Platypus in the wild. The tour includes a guide and history of Hidden Valley,  with a 98% success rate (in perfect weather and environment/seasonal)

Tours generally last 1-2hrs and are commence in the late afternoon. $30 PP

Please note - these are wild animals and we cannot predict if we will see any, this is also a weather dependent tour.

Best times of the year to view platypus are August - October (breeding season), December- March (wet season) is the least likely chance to spot them due high and heavy rain fall.

Please be mindful these are late afternoon tours, generally starting 4pm (winter months) and 5:30pm (summer months), we are also 1.5-2hrs from Townsville or Ingham but public bookings are welcome!
